Engagement
The path from first call to materials partners can use
Advisory work for professional services pricing follows a predictable sequence so partners know what happens each week and when decisions are required.
-
Discovery call
A thirty-minute conversation on practice areas, firm size, and the fee problem that prompted the enquiry. We confirm whether a diagnostic, schedule review, workshop, or coaching series is proportionate.
-
Document and interview phase
You share rate cards, recent proposals, and selected engagement letters. We interview partners and practice leads about discount habits and write-down stories.
-
Diagnostic briefing
Findings are presented with options, not a single prescribed rate. Partners see where leakage concentrates and which services are candidates for packaging.
-
Co-design of fees and language
Together we draft schedules, retainer outlines, and proposal clauses. Disagreements are surfaced early so the handover is not a surprise.
-
Handover and ninety-day check-in
Final materials are delivered in a facilitation session. A later check-in reviews how pitches and partner meetings have used the new approach.
| Typical span | Six to ten weeks for a full diagnostic |

Start with the flagship diagnostic — or a shorter review
If you already know the bottleneck is the rate card alone, a Fee Schedule Review may be enough. If scope language and partner habits are tangled, begin with the diagnostic.
