About
A practice devoted to how professional firms price expertise
Branch Path Pricing Advisory works with partners who sell advice, design, and specialist judgment — and who want fee structures that survive contact with real client negotiations.
Registered business
The official registered business name is Branch Path Pricing Advisory Pty Ltd. The practice was established in 2014 in New South Wales and advises professional services firms across Australia.
Origin
The firm began after repeated partner retreats where fee conversations stalled on anecdotes: one difficult client, one generous discount, one write-down that everyone hoped was unusual. Those rooms needed a quieter method — document review, pattern finding, and language partners could reuse — rather than another motivational talk about “value.”
What we bring
Our advisers have sat inside law, accounting, architecture, and specialist consulting environments long enough to recognise when a rate card is cosmetic and when an engagement letter is doing the real commercial work. We do not sell software, billing platforms, or generic strategy frameworks. We examine fees, scope, and partner habits.
Working approach
Engagements stay close to the firm’s own proposals and closed matters. We interview fee earners, mark up documents, facilitate decisions, and leave materials that survive without us. Progress is measured in clearer schedules, fewer soft discounts, and proposals that name contingencies before work starts.
Values in practice
- Candour over flattery when a rate is misaligned with the work won.
- Respect for partner time — short briefs, timed sessions, written follow-up.
- Confidentiality around client matters and internal commercial debates.
- Practical handovers: schedules, clauses, and checklists ready for the next pitch.
